Shellie Terry poem entwine from The Common Language Project: 2023 Networks by The Writer's Garret of Dallas, TX

poem | entwine

Each year, The Writer’s Garret of Dallas, TX, hosts The Common Language Project, in which 30 words must be used in their original form to create a poem of no more than 30 lines. My poem entwine was chosen among the 30 winning entries published in the 2023 anthology: Networks.

prose | aquamarine

The prompt was: Describe emotion by only using color. I always come back to aquamarine. And grief was heavy on my heart when I wrote this piece, published in Vellicor Literary’s Volume 4 theme, Folklore.

poem | masterpiece

Vellicor Literary’s Volume 4 theme, Folklore, was the perfect place to question a certain story about how women came to be.
